Mecox Grdens: Part Deux
>
I always joke that you could decorate a house in the Hamptons just with one trip to Mecox Gardens including the outside as you saw with my previous post. They have a great mix of new and vintage pieces. The store in Southampton is huge and my personal favorite but they have a bunch of other locations in New York and across the country as well as a great website. Now all I need is a house of my own in The Hamptons! Happy Shopping!

Summer Rerun
>
I'm busy working today and trying to get through a thousand annoying emails so I'm posting an oldie but a goodie from 2008. This fabulous house in the Hamptons used to belong to Steven Gambrel before friends of LA designer Ruthie Sommers bought it and asked her to decorate the place. I love the colors and casual feeling which is perfect for a house near the beach. It was published in House Beautiful so you can read more about the details online. Enjoy!

Sag Harbor
>
If you asked me before for my favorite town in the Hamptons, I would have said Southampton without missing a beat. It's pretty and perfectly manicured and has lots of cute stores but this weekend, I finally succumbed to the charms of Sag Harbor. It has such a quaint Main Street, USA feeling that I never took the time to notice on all my other visits. I especially love all the shop signs and their old fashioned fonts. There are also flags flying all over town that I can already picture a patriotic Memorial Day parade marching down the real Main Street. Happy almost holiday weekend!
